Public Works

The Public Works Department dedicates its efforts to providing safe, quality-based, cost-efficient services to citizen, business, and industry within the City of York.

The Department also provides support services and maintenance to all City owned facilities and properties.

The work Public Works employees do on a daily basis is vital to a well functioning City.  The employees take great pride in a job well-done.  Without their service our citizens would not have quality roads, water, waste management, or parks.

The City Clerk is responsible for the custody of all laws and ordinances. The office is charged with keeping a journal of the proceedings of the council, a record of all outstanding bonds against the City, makes annual and periodic reports, and other duties as prescribed by State Law and City Ordinance.
