In 2022, the City of York was awarded a federal grant for $15,625,000 for Project Access York, a pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure and safety project to connect and extend our existing trail network. Project Access York is an initiative by the City of York to enhance pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure. Current Update:
NDOT has placed pink stakes in the ground throughout town to assist conversations with property owners whose property is impacted by the trail construction. They include marks for construction impact and some marks that are just existing right of way. They are not stakes indicating the width of the trail nor the exact location of the trail. All impacted landowners have received communication from NDOT regarding who to contact with questions and NDOT is handling the negotiation conversations.
